Most of what I write comes from the same place.
I call it The Stewardship Way—a way of looking at the world, paying attention to what’s going on around us, and choosing to take responsibility for the places where we live, work, and spend our time.
Over the years, I’ve learned that people connect with different kinds of stories in different ways. So rather than trying to put everything into one place, I’ve organized my writing into three publications.
All three publications are free to subscribe to, and you’re welcome to follow whichever ones interest you most.
Each one reflects a different part of the same journey.
🌿 The Nature of Things
This is where I share what I notice.
Sometimes it starts with something simple—a walk, a bird, a roadside observation—and then expands into a bigger story about how natural systems work and how we fit into them.
It’s about awareness…leading to understanding…then appreciation…then action.
If you’re interested in nature, how things are connected, and why it all matters, this is a good place to start.
📖 Conservation Chronicles
This is where I tell the stories.
Over the past 50+ years, I’ve been involved in a wide range of conservation projects, organizations, and ideas—some successful, some not, but all of them part of the journey.
These are real stories about what happened, what I learned, and why it might matter to you.
If you enjoy personal stories, behind-the-scenes experiences, and lessons learned over time, you’ll find them here.
🛠️ Conservation Lifestyles
This is where it becomes practical.
It’s one thing to understand nature and systems—it’s another thing to actually live differently because of that understanding.
This publication focuses on ideas, examples, and simple ways people can begin applying stewardship in their own lives—at home, at work, and in their communities.
If you’re asking, “What can I do?”—this is where I try to answer that question.
No matter which one you choose to follow, they are all connected.
They are simply different expressions of the same idea:
Pay attention.
Think about what you’re seeing.
And then do something that makes things a little better.
You’re welcome to subscribe to one—or all three.
